Zero Account Obligation & No Cloud Backend: No user registration, email sign-up, or login credential is ever required to use Bluetooth PC Keyboard & Mouse. KappuApps does not operate or maintain any user-content backend or cloud server for this app. Your controller inputs and configurations never touch a KappuApps server.

2. Clear Data Distinction & Scope

At KappuApps, we maintain complete transparency regarding data processing. We distinguish between controller functionality (which operates locally and peer-to-peer over Bluetooth) and technical advertising data (which is handled by third-party advertising SDKs):

Processed Locally (Peer-to-Peer)

  • Real-time keyboard keystrokes & text inputs
  • Touchpad coordinates & multi-finger gestures
  • Gamepad button triggers & joystick states
  • Air Mouse & tilt-steering motion sensor values
  • Saved Bluetooth host MAC addresses & names
  • Custom Layouts, templates & Saved Macros
  • Never uploaded to KappuApps servers

Handled by Advertising Partners

  • Google Advertising ID (GAID / AAID)
  • Device model, manufacturer & OS version
  • Internet Protocol (IP) address (for coarse geolocation)
  • Ad impression, click, and render diagnostics
  • Consent choices via Google User Messaging Platform
  • Governed by Google's Privacy Policies

Accurate Disclosure Notice: Because this application integrates advertising SDKs to offer its features free of charge, we do not make false claims of "zero data collection." However, KappuApps itself does not run an account backend, does not intercept your controller strokes, and does not harvest or sell your personal data.

3. Bluetooth HID & Device Access

The primary function of Bluetooth PC Keyboard & Mouse is providing standard Bluetooth Human Interface Device (HID) emulation over wireless radio frequencies. Bluetooth capabilities are utilized strictly for core peripheral operations:

  • Host Discovery & Pairing: Scanning for and establishing initial pairing with supported computers, laptops, smart TVs, or media streaming boxes within standard Bluetooth range (typically up to 10 meters).
  • Establishing HID Connections: Registering the Android device as an authorized Bluetooth HID Peripheral (Keyboard, Mouse, Gamepad, Consumer Control) with the host operating system.
  • Automatic Reconnection: Retaining saved Bluetooth host profiles and default device preferences to permit fast, one-tap reconnects when returning to your workstation.
  • Command Transmission: Packaging touch gestures, key presses, media triggers, and controller states into standard HID report byte packets and dispatching them over the local Bluetooth channel.

Local Use Only — No Location Tracking: Bluetooth communication is conducted directly between your phone and your host device. The application does NOT collect, monitor, log, or track your GPS or precise physical location. On Android 12 and higher (API level 31+), the app uses modern Nearby Devices permissions (BLUETOOTH_CONNECT and BLUETOOTH_SCAN declared with the neverForLocation flag), which prevents the Android operating system from deriving geographic location from Bluetooth scans.

4. Motion Sensors (Air Mouse & Racing Controls)

For specialized input modes — specifically the Air Mouse and Racing / Motion Steering features — the application accesses hardware motion sensors built into your mobile device, including:

  • Device Accelerometer: Measures linear acceleration and gravity vectors to detect physical device orientation and tilt angles.
  • Gyroscope: Measures angular velocity and rates of rotation in three-dimensional space to track swift hand gestures.
  • Rotation Vector / Orientation Sensors: Combines sensor readings to determine precise orientation for fluid spatial cursor guidance.

How Motion Data Is Handled:

  • Sensor values are read and evaluated in real time entirely within your device's local memory and processing threads.
  • Values are mathematically converted into standard relative X/Y mouse cursor deltas or analog joystick axis values, immediately transmitted over the active Bluetooth HID connection, and promptly discarded.
  • Zero Cloud Uploads: Sensor telemetry is never recorded, never stored permanently, never transmitted over the internet, and never uploaded to KappuApps servers.

5. Foreground Service & Notifications

To ensure responsive, uninterrupted controller responsiveness during presentations, remote work, or gaming, the application may operate an active Android Foreground Service (using the connectedDevice service type on modern Android versions):

  • Connection Continuity: The foreground service prevents the Android operating system from prematurely putting the Bluetooth HID connection into background sleep mode when you switch between layout screens or turn off your screen briefly.
  • Ongoing System Notification: In accordance with Android platform requirements, an active foreground service displays an ongoing notification in your system notification shade. This notification clearly indicates that the Bluetooth controller is connected and provides quick controls to disconnect.
  • Notification Permission (Android 13+): On devices running Android 13 (API level 33) or higher, the app requests the POST_NOTIFICATIONS runtime permission solely to display this required ongoing connection notification.

This notification mechanism is purely functional. Bluetooth PC Keyboard & Mouse does not send unsolicited marketing notifications, third-party promotional alerts, or tracking beacons.

6. Saved Macros, Custom Layouts & File Sharing

The application includes productivity features that allow users to automate repetitive keystrokes and personalize their controller interfaces:

Saved Macros

  • Explicit User Creation: Macros are recorded or constructed solely when you deliberately enter or save a sequence of keystroke HID actions.
  • Local Sandbox Storage: All saved macro sequences are stored exclusively inside your device's private application storage sandbox.
  • Important Security Warning: Macro storage is engineered for convenience, gaming shortcuts, and productivity hotkeys. It is NOT an encrypted password manager or secure vault. Users are strongly advised never to store master passwords, bank PINs, cryptocurrency keys, or sensitive credentials in saved macros.

Custom Layouts & Templates

  • Users can create, customize, rename, and duplicate custom button layouts to match specific desktop applications or games.
  • Layout settings (grid dimensions, button labels, key codes, macro bindings, and colors) are stored locally on the device.

Layout Import, Export & Sharing

  • System File Picker: When you choose to export or import a layout configuration file, the app uses Android's native Storage Access Framework (SAF) and system file picker. The app only accesses the specific file you explicitly select.
  • System Share Sheet: Layout files can be shared directly with colleagues or your other devices using Android's standard system share sheet (via messaging apps, email, or your personal cloud storage).
  • No KappuApps Cloud Storage: KappuApps does not operate a file hosting or cloud sync server for layout files. Layout sharing takes place peer-to-peer or via the external apps you independently choose to use.

7. Locally Stored Information

To deliver a reliable user experience across app restarts and maintain your personal preferences, the application stores minimal operational records locally on your device (via Android SharedPreferences and private app directory):

  • Saved Bluetooth Host Metadata: Hardware addresses (MAC addresses), user-assigned device names, device class indicators, and last-connected host timestamps to facilitate quick reconnection.
  • Host Connection Preferences: Default reconnect preferences, auto-connect toggle, and connection timeout thresholds.
  • Controller Configuration: Mouse pointer sensitivity, scroll wheel acceleration, dead-zone thresholds, axis inversion preferences, and touchpad click-drag options.
  • Interface & Layout Settings: Selected keyboard language/layout (QWERTY, AZERTY, etc.), haptic vibration toggle, touch sound feedback, and UI theme options.
  • Onboarding & Tutorial State: Flags indicating whether welcome tutorials and setup walk-throughs have been viewed.
  • Saved Macros & Custom Layouts: Locally created button mappings, custom panels, and macro instructions.
  • Ad-Free Reward Entitlements: Timestamps recording temporary ad-free or feature unlock rewards earned by voluntarily viewing rewarded ads where applicable.

All locally stored data remains isolated within your mobile device's protected application sandbox. KappuApps has no access to, nor ability to remotely inspect, this local data.

8. Advertising (Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads SDK)

Bluetooth PC Keyboard & Mouse is provided as a free utility. To support ongoing maintenance, device compatibility updates, and future feature development, the app displays mobile advertisements served by Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK).

The application may display standard Google AdMob formats, which can include:

Banner Ads

Anchored rectangular banner advertisements placed outside active controller touch surfaces.

Interstitial Ads

Full-screen ads displayed at natural pause points, such as navigating between menus or disconnecting.

Rewarded Ads

Optional, user-initiated video ads that grant temporary perks, such as temporary ad suppression or bonus layout slots.

Rewarded Interstitial

Contextual opt-in rewarded ad experiences that grant in-app benefits upon completion.

App Open Ads

Display units presented when launching the application from cold start or returning from the background.

Native Ads

Styled ad components integrated cleanly into device lists or layout management screens.

Active Controller Screen Ad Suppression: Active controller and input touch surfaces (such as the touchpad and virtual keyboard) are intentionally designed to prevent or suppress active pop-up ads during controller use so your keyboard and mouse gestures remain uninterrupted. However, advertising is integrated into the application as described above.

Data Processed by Google and Advertising Partners:

When advertisements are requested or displayed, Google's Mobile Ads SDK and Google Play Services may independently collect and process technical telemetry in accordance with Google's own privacy standards, including:

  • Google Advertising ID (GAID / AAID): A unique, user-resettable pseudonymous identifier provided by the Android OS for advertising measurement and frequency capping.
  • IP Address: Used by Google to route ad network traffic and infer coarse, approximate geographic location (such as country or city) for contextual relevance and fraud detection.
  • Device Information: Device model, manufacturer, hardware specifications, operating system version, system language, carrier, and screen dimensions.
  • Ad Interaction Telemetry: Metrics regarding ad requests, impressions, views, clicks, and diagnostic performance data.
  • Fraud & Bot Prevention Data: Signal data processed to protect advertisers against invalid clicks and automated fraud.

KappuApps does not personally receive, view, or retain these advertising telemetry records. Google's data handling is governed by Google's Privacy Policies:

10. Android Permissions and Why They Are Used

Each third-party provider processes data as an independent controller subject to its own published privacy terms.

No Analytics or Tracking SDKs: Bluetooth PC Keyboard & Mouse does NOT include Google Firebase (no Firebase Analytics, no Firebase Crashlytics, no Firebase Cloud Messaging, and no Firebase Remote Config). The app also contains no marketing or attribution trackers (such as Facebook SDK, AppsFlyer, Adjust, Mixpanel, or Sentry).

12. No Data Selling & Backend Statement

We believe in straightforward, privacy-conscious software engineering:

  • No User-Account Backend: KappuApps does not operate a user database, cloud server, or remote registration backend for this application.
  • No Sale of Personal Information: KappuApps does NOT sell, rent, trade, or monetize users' personal data, keystrokes, or controller activity.
  • Local Ownership: Saved Macros, Custom Layouts, and Bluetooth host pairing metadata remain stored on your own physical device.
  • Advertising Partner Operations: As disclosed, third-party advertising partners (Google AdMob) independently process technical telemetry for ad delivery and fraud prevention as governed by their respective privacy policies.

13. Data Retention, Deletion, and User Control

Because your controller settings, paired host metadata, macros, and layouts are stored locally on your device, you have complete and immediate control over their deletion:

  • In-App Deletion: You can delete individual saved Bluetooth host profiles, remove custom layouts, or clear saved macros at any time directly through the app's settings and layout management interfaces.
  • Clearing Application Storage: You can wipe all locally stored preferences, paired devices, macros, and layouts by clearing the app's storage in your Android system settings (Settings > Apps > Bluetooth PC Keyboard & Mouse > Storage > Clear Storage / Clear Data).
  • Uninstalling the App: Uninstalling the application immediately and permanently deletes all local configuration records, saved layouts, and macros stored within the application's private sandbox.
  • No Central Cloud Account to Delete: Because KappuApps does not operate a central user account database or cloud server for this app, there is no remote cloud account or server database requiring an account deletion request.
  • Advertising Provider Data: Data processed independently by Google AdMob is retained according to Google's standard data retention schedules.

14. Data Security Safeguards

We implement sound engineering practices to protect your controller usage and settings:

  • Android Sandbox Isolation: All locally stored settings, paired host metadata, and layouts are stored within Android's sandboxed storage, preventing other installed applications from inspecting or modifying them.
  • Bluetooth Protocol Security: The application relies on Android's native Bluetooth stack, which enforces standard Bluetooth security protocols (such as Secure Simple Pairing and standard link-layer encryption) supported by your phone and host hardware.
  • Zero Cloud Interception: Your keyboard keystrokes, mouse clicks, and controller inputs are never transmitted to or routed through any KappuApps cloud server.

Realistic Security Notice: While we utilize industry-standard platform security mechanisms, no wireless radio protocol or electronic storage system can ever be guaranteed to be 100% impenetrable. We do not make absolute representations that data can never be compromised under any circumstance. As a best practice, always pair with trusted host devices and avoid storing sensitive credentials in macros.
